Thunderheart Films: Bring Them Home

Misfit Toys Communications partnered with Thunderheart Films, a non-profit dedicated to producing and distributing films that promote healing, tolerance, and reduce prejudice and discrimination. Our collaboration centered on "Bring Them Home," a documentary narrated by the Academy Award-nominated Blackfeet/Nez Perce actor Lily Gladstone. This poignant film chronicles the Blackfeet Nation's endeavor to restore wild buffalo to their tribal lands.

We launched a comprehensive public relations and social media campaign to amplify the impact and reach of "Bring Them Home." Our efforts resulted in strategic, purpose-driven coverage across prestigious industry and cultural outlets, both nationally and globally. Key features in Variety, Vanity Fair, Daily Mail, Boston Globe, and regional media in the Blackfeet territories significantly elevated the film's profile.

Additionally, we established and managed Thunderheart Films' Facebook and Instagram accounts, crafting compelling content that resonated deeply with audiences. Our social media strategy led to impressive growth, with engagement and follower numbers increasing by 20% and 50% month over month, respectively.
