PGA National Resort

Misfit Toys Communications played a critical role in the grand transformation of Palm Beach's legendary PGA National Resort, unveiling an extensive $100 million renovation. Our team executed a robust media relations campaign, meticulously spotlighting every new feature of the resort. This included the luxury spa redesigned by V Starr, led by tennis star Venus Williams; innovative golf course layouts by Andy Staples; the opening of The Butcher's Club by award-winning chef Jeremy Ford, the new "Banyan Buddies" kids club; redesigned guestrooms and common areas; a specialty chocolate shop; and the all-day dining concept Honeybelle, helmed by James Beard Award nominee and Palm Beach resident, Lindsay Autry.

Leveraging our extensive media contacts, we ensured that this epic revitalization captured attention locally, regionally, nationally, and globally across both trade and consumer media. Our efforts resulted in over 150 features in top-tier outlets and influencer pages, including The TODAY Show segment with Chef Jeremy Ford (his first ever!), Brian Kelly/The Points Guy’s social channels, an exclusive on Architectural Digest on the new spa and its design and Conde Nast Traveler.

Additionally Misfit Toys facilitated over two dozen visits from top-tier media and influencers, ensuring firsthand experiences of the resort's enhancements. We strategically submitted the property for numerous top readers' and editors' choice travel and culinary awards, amplifying its prestige and recognition. A highlight of our campaign was executing a benefit we secured with the James Beard Foundation on the property, which garnered significant media and influencer acclaim, further solidifying the resort's reputation in the area.
