Damian brings over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry to Misfit Toys. Prior to this, he was an SVP in DKC’s Hospitality/Lifestyle team where he spent almost a decade. His work at the agency included conceptualizing, leading, and executing strategic PR campaigns for a portfolio of renowned brands in the luxury and lifestyle spaces including spirits, travel, wellness and multicultural campaigns that targeted Hispanic and Latinx audiences.

Of particular note, DKC Damian led the opening of 1 Hotels & Resorts’ Brooklyn Bridge location, an over two-year global and national PR strategy for Belvedere Vodka, in addition to leading efforts with Courvoisier Cognac (which he retained for over 5 years), Eden Roc Miami Beach, The New York Palace Hotel, SLS South Beach, James Hotels, Melia Hotels International, among others many other restaurants, hotels and brands under the hospitality portfolio of the agency.

Before this, he handled the publicity campaigns for food, nightlife and entertainment clients of SHADOW PR and spent several years with the Peninsula Hotel Group, where he learned the ins and outs of a good hotel operation. He graduated from New York University (NYU) with a BA in Hospitality and is fluent in Spanish as he is originally from Puerto Rico.
